If you’re trying to make sure that your data stays safe, then you have to back up your computer on a regular basis. I personally hate doing this, and I’m terribly lazy about it sometimes. However, it’s very important and I’m trying to change my ways. So I started up a subscription with MyPCBackup. I’m hoping that just by paying a little bit a month that I will be more motivated to back up my important stuff.
I take a lot of pictures, and I also have lots of writing projects going on. I know that if I lose this data I will be really upset.
I have been the victim of at least one computer theft from my car (broken window in broad daylight) and several broken hard drives. Also a stolen phone! There went all those pictures. I should have been backing them up. I will NEVER get them back. Ever. Not even the law of attraction will get them back.
Anyway… it’s kind of a very late New Year’s Resolution to do this backing up thing. I will try.

I’m not so sure about the law of attraction. I grew up a Christian, and the law of attraction pretty much flies in the face of Christianity and is NOT compatible with it. It’s extremely new age.
That said, I have had my suspicions since learning of it. I’ve seemed to have been able to bring people into my life as a result of this law. I’ve also kind of manifested things. I say kind of because they didn’t just drop into my lap – I still had to work for them. But the means of getting them did come into my life.
The thing is, I am thinking more about it now because I’m trying to change my thinking. I want to think more positively. I have become VERY negative in my thinking through a series of bad things and heartbreaks. I kind of feel that the world is against me, and now I go around with a chip on my shoulder thinking I have the worst luck and that things will never go my way.
Well, I don’t think that’s the best way to go about life. I need to change my thought processes. I’m having a hard time because I still consider myself a Christian, but at the same time I still need to change my thoughts. And I’m still kinda mad at Christianity since coming out and that whole ordeal. I’m not turning my back on it, but I’m just…in a time out.
Anyway – there is positive research that just having positive thoughts is a way to a happier life. So I might start incorporating theories of the law of attraction just so I can change my overriding thoughts from negative to positive.
I have to say, I still think it’s a load of new age nonsense, but like I said, I have found there to be a strange thing about thinking about something a lot and having a very strong emotional connection to it – and it happening.
